Sorry if this should be somewhere else.
Just got my fardriver installed only to realize the dongle is missing. (Damn gremlins most likely took it when I turned my back) so my question is this. Can I just wire a any usb data (not only charging) cable to the controller and plug it into my computer?? I know atleast i think I know I will have to reverse the TX and rx wires. I mean I can't imagine there is something special about the programming cables for these controllers all they do is send and receive data, right? I already emailed the place I got the controller from but I'm thinking best case I might have one by next Wednesday if I'm lucky. I want to beat my bike like I stole it this weekend. Thanks.
