Starting a new build (I'm selling my old one to help fund this one), the parts I'm starting off with are:

24" Sun doublewide rims with hadley hubs
super crappy and cheap chinese pit bike frame
Marzocchi monster T forks

I'm in the process of chopping off the unnecessary parts of the frame and welding reinforcements onto it.

My main dilemma is what motor to use. I've narrowed it down to three choices:

2 HXT's with 18fet infineons. This option would require a two-stage reduction. It would also require the fitting of hall sensors to the motors, something that I would not want to do. (would be fairly cheap)

1 Colossus driven by some controller that apparently does not exist yet. As amazing as this motor looks, it does not look like this will be a viable option in the near future. (price-wise would be somewhere in-between the hxts and the astro motor)

1 of recumpences 20kw Astros driven by a kelly controller (would be expensive)

Since most of the components are going to be chosen based on which motor I choose, I need to make this decision pretty quick if I'm going to get this project done before school starts up in the fall. An input would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some pics of my progress so far:

Another option I didn't think about was to use my 5304 from my last build, although I could forget about jumping this bike with a huge hub motor on it..
