E-bike 60v 45a battery/60v40a controller/1000w motor power issue

Ok, so I’ve swapped out my battery and controller for what you see in the title originally it was a 48v setup.

I’ve come upon an issue which I feel may be to do with the hall sensors.

The throttle works and you can feather it at max speed, however if you let go the throttle won’t work until under 10/15mph.

If I unplug the hall sensor it will work sensorless however there’s a significant power loss if I run it this way.

I’ve tried two motors and had the same issue.

Side note, it worked properly for about 20mins after I had re shouldered the old motors hall and phase wires then it was back to square one which had me confused whether it’s a controller problem throttle or motor.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I'd test the hall sensors first to make sure they aren't bad. This guide provides the method:

I’ll have to buy a multi meter but I’ll give this a go thank you.
