You need to add a pre charge resistor on the main contactor and also add a diode reflux. Please refer to the manual for wiring.
If you don't use the main contactor, you can use an emergency stop switch for simpler wiring.

Can anybody simplify the above statement, I have been messing about for seemingly months trying to sort out my tryke having just fitted a new motor and about to install a Kelly kls controller I have in the past suffered and replaced damaged battery connectors due to sparking. To match exist these connectors are 3x China so it is always a long wait to proceed.
I have read extensively about the different anti spark methods on this forum and get excited that I have found a solution until I go to build one, then the 82 year brain fails so I look again.
I am now thinking about this method of installing a precharge resistor 27OR 25 W and looking for simplicity I found the statement at the beginning of this note. Any help please.
