German TV (3SAT) aired and posted a new documentary on e-bikes. I haven't see any transcripts so translation is tough but even for non-speakers you'll see applications (postal service, meal delivery in Holland), e-bike factories in Switzerland and Germany, a bike testing shop with all the bike torture equipment. There's a little about batteries including a video of one exploding and burning and NOTHING about kits, motors or building an e-bike - its commercial TV so maybe expected to point (scare) people to commercial e-bikes. Anyway FWIW...

Oh man, sometimes being German is so embarrassing. For decades we´ve manufactured goods sought after the world. Well we still do, but as a car crazy nation with no speed limits on certain highways there appears to be no room for fast e-bikes.

People here are just stuck to the law. Constantly controlling themselves and others. It´s time to change this. I´ve been riding illegally fast e-bikes for more then 4 years now. :)

Come on Germany, you can do better then that.
Get rid of those boring 250 watt bikes and make room for some serious machines!!

That´s the future of biking.
