I have a 48 volt 350 watt EBO hub motor on a recumbent trike that has power (display is on) that is randomly cutting out. The controller, cadence sensor and brake sensor have all been recently replaced. Any ideas?

It’s unlikely to be “random” in the true sense of the word. You’ll need to describe the conditions in which it cuts out, and run tests to narrow down the cause.

It stops working intermittently when I’m pedaling. The throttle doesn’t work either. Then it just will start up again. If I turn it off/on again, sometimes it will start up and sometimes it doesn’t. This happens right away without the motor being warm. Using the brakes don’t affect this at all. I can’t find any cause/effect.IMG_3895.png

Most likely a wiring or hall sensor problem.

Never heard of 'ebo motor' before; i'm thinking this is 'electric bike outfitters' which relabels + resells Chinese motors.
Which ebo motor do you have? do you have any pics?

So, screen stays on, only motor power cuts out?

Did throttle ever work?

I’d get the bike up in a stand.

The pas magnet ring might be too far from the sensor. They typically need to be almost rubbing.

I took it back to the bike shop and it was dead on arrival! Turns out that the brake sensor is broken. Hopefully, it will keep on running. Thanks to all for your responses and suggestions!
