Electric bike 'flow pedals' footrest

For those of you messing around with your own no-pedal e-bike setups, BMX 'flow pedals' from http://www.curbrider.com (thank you John) might be a cool foot rest option for you to try. Unless, you folks already own no-pedal e-bikes such as the UltraMotor AZB Excel or Toto Design Mosquito which look like they use huge scooter foot rests or police baton foot pegs.


'Flow pedals' are installed on a MTB bike using a Euro BMX bottom bracket kit and 19mm/48 spline bmx spindle.

Previously, I screwed in regular pedals to a splined BB. The threads don't exactly match, but it still works.

The cooler setup is the 'flow pedals' because they have a larger foot rest area and are still light weight.

Overall bike weight is about 44 lbs.

Nice simple machine. Is that a KHS frame? Is it made in the US?

That would be nice for my bike, which I almost never pedal. Unfortunately, that isn't an electric bicycle any longer according to my state's laws. Now it's an electric scooter, and would need turn signals and brakes lights and registration and other tedious BS.

Yea, it's just a KHS Alite 500 entry level MTB . Probably made in Taiwan.

I think companies like Specialized changed the 'Made in China' sticker to 'Crafted in China' . Maybe my bike was 'Crafted in Taiwan' or 'Built in Taiwan'.

Yea I went to the site and read about them. It is an american company, been around since the 70s and frames from Taiwan. I've been looking at them at the lbs. I want to build a setup just like you got for the local dirt roads here. Just something with a good front susp. and big tires.

using centripetal force generated from transitioned surfaces, but this is an excellent application of Flow Pedals!

Regarding police baton, do you have different styles of a police baton? Just want to know and I want to have a collections of it.

Well, I don't have any but that would be cool to mount a collapsible baton where the bike pump is. If someone tried to attack you on your bike, you could just grab the baton and bonk them on the head.
