Thanks for watching...............

With agm lol

Just a guess but I bet you can knock 2 seconds off with good lithium

I guess you'd have to be a long time member to understand. Arlo is chuckling at the use of AGM batteries. Around here, the only thing they are good for is paper weights. Maybe that is why you used them? Weight over the driven tires? Why not consider a lighter, more energy dense battery?

Yes, 144 volts.........12 - 12 volt batteries :)

Congrat!.. look like fun !

Even if you want to upgrade to lithium i'm sure you could get below 12 sec on 1/4 mile! and probably 120mph or more for the same voltage due to lower weight and less fricotion on those fat tires!

a lithium that can do that would weight about 60 pounds..

Take a look to this guy Casey Mynott we have in Canada from DSS electric, he recently upgraded to lithium:

This is on @ 110.14 mph.....
This cart weighs 2,200 lbs. (1,000+ lbs. of batteries)........... Lithium will be my next move, got to save up some coins  .......
Thanks.....

You came to the right place to talking about going fast with electricity! I'm sorry I didn't mean to come off as a arrogant dick. I meant its amazing you did that with agm and when you move to lipo its going to be mind blowing!

102mph is enough MPH to run a high 12 sec pass... if you can hook the power or not wheelie which is a big challenge with such small tires and short wheel base (consider a removable wheelie bar if it ever gets that bad so you can maintain golf course use).

Once you go to RC LiPo cells your will have the biggest egrin ever. Not sure if you are logging how hot your motor is getting, but check that on a pass to see how much room you have left for upping the amps.

Just an FYI, if you ran 144V nominal with 1000lbs of lead, a comparable LiPo pack could weigh under 100lbs to deliver the same kind of power, more epic WIN!

A bigger motor / dual motors / 4 motors (one per wheel if you wanna get really crazy... and possibly drive yourself nuts with a control system to keep it straight unless they are linked by a diff at each end).

Sorry, I'm going off the deep end here. Arlo1, LiveforPhysics and Myself are all people who are big into drag racing and we all love electric power as well. You have done a great job so far. This is one of the reasons we love electric power so much, it's soooo easy to make it go faster

If you haven't been on this site before, welcome. You should find yourself among many like minded people.

Without the lead ballast I'd be concerned about that roof acting like a wing. Maybe switch to lawn tractor racing, so you don't have to worry about the slightest gust of wind.

BTW mister plumb quick. Be care full when switching to lithium because it will sag less and you will get more rpm... How fast can you spin the copper?

The guys with the 70,000 watt kart on youtube kept upping the voltage till at ~145v with lithium the motor died if I recall correctly.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

They have a listing for most of that on their web site. All brushed reworked gold kart motors.

Just looked for a few mins, can't find any times. Some cool motor upgrades, if I had a golf cart I'd be all over modding it. Electric mods are so much easier than ICE mods.

I think I saw a chute on the back of that golf cart!

Way kewl and awesome.

Thanks guys.......
I have vids up 98.06 mph 7.4 et in 1/8........
110.14 mph 11.8 in 1/4........
Best 60' 1.45
Best 330' 4.4
All my motors are custom built in house and I run a custom bypass with the stock controller......the controller is used to drive around and stag up.....after that it dumps full pack power, let off and it goes back to controller.

Hell yeah, 1.45 60' is seriously hauling, I love getting sub 1.50 60' times because it feels like free fall. The videos are very deceiving which is why I was curious to the 60' and 330' times. This pass has to be faster than 7.4 in the 1/8th.

Motors are doing overtime fighting your aero. Your setup in a junior dragster would really get down.

For those not as versed in drag, I would estimate your golf cart does 0-60 mph in about 2.5 sec or less based on the 1/8 and 60' :D your times look a lot like a snow mobiles.
