Hi Endless-Sphere!

I'm new to this thread, I joined because I had an idea to build an electric penny board. I have no idea where to start, if I should buy an entertion kit (I live in Australia) or use this mount/pulley technique which I don't really know about. I kinda want to use the original Penny trucks and wheels to make it look good, and be compact-ish. I'm not telling anyone to make a full plan (feel free to do so) but just to help me out a bit.

Ask me any further questions of you need to, I know a little bit.

I think Penny trucks will be hard with belt drive, so I guess only option you have is hub drive.

Hi!

I just share my feeling, but I think add a motor to a penny board is a bad idea for two reasons:

- the wheelbase is too short to fit the componants considering you loose at least 12cm for motormount clearance.
- It is just not stable enough for speed.

So it's hardly possible to convert a penny board into an electric penny board and it is not safe, just my opinion.

If you want to make a small and light motor vehicle, consider at least a long skateboard deck, or a small longboard deck.
