Really quick question here - would I be able to run an Enertion S.P.A.C.E Cell battery in series with the current stock setup on a Boosted Dual+ Skateboard. I get a pretty miserable 4.2 miles out of the stock boosted board and need a good simple solution to extend the range of my board so I can use it as a daily commuter.

Thanks for any help/replies

Have you seen this guys mod?

Yes I saw his Mod, looks awesome but at the moment I lack the knowledge and skill to make the battery packs.

Using that guys mod the space cell would work as long as the two packs have similar charge voltage when connecting.

Still have to solder those leads and add the cable and plug.

Probably voids the warranty.

Under 5 miles is so weak.

Must be a way to improve that guys mod so don't have to be plugging and unplugging all the time.

SO WEAK - but I am 6'$ and 240lbs so its a good load on that board. I would need to be sure the voltage matches on the Space Cell and Boosted internal Pack - hopefully someone here can tell me

a good buddy of mine has the Dual+ (i blame him for my e-board addiction). So i follow along when i see anything related to boosted to help him out.

The best mileage i've got on his board (on the flats) was about 5 miles. Not even in highest performance setting (Level 3 of 4). It's the only reason i didn't buy one. Anyway - i saw this youtube video and it looks pretty straight forward, but the multiple stages of run speed and the battery blinking on the controller before you are actually out of power is still annoying.

Bryang93 - you should check out some of the tutorials on making your own 18650 battery pack - it's not as scary as it seems! I might eventually do one myself, but have plenty of lipos i need to use up first before switching to home-made packs.

There was another thread on one of our ES brethren who added supplementary batteries to his boosted and got crazy range (up in BC Canada). I'll see if i can link the thread here for you.

Welcome and GL!

I don't think you would be able to put it in effectively since they are two different cells. Boosted is also 12S 3.2v nominal. Enertion is 10S 3.7v nominal.

I would do the same as the guy above if you want to extend your range.

Yes, you can add the space cell but u will have to charge it up to 4.10V. I don't know how long is the pack and if it possible/enough room to fit it between the BB battery and the esc case.

The you tube video was posted by me :)...

15 -16 miles is plenty of range...my feet were sore at the end off the test. Check my other video's. You can make the packs out of 3400mAh cells and get more range or place another 2 packs on the top of the deck. 30 plus miles is just way too much...in my opinion.
