EV Global (EVG) w/Ebike Rear Kit

Here's my EVG Ebike, originally a 24v - Now a running a Ebike 500w Direct Drive Kit with a 48V 10AH LiFePO4 battery in tackle box, Watt's-Up Meter, Schwinn Speedo, Planet-Bike Fenders, 2 torque arms, Zefal Raider HD rack.

My setup is almost identical to yours! same motor, same battery, same trimming of controller shunts to alter controller max to 20a.. Looking good, watched the video.. like how you cut it short because your phone rang

Did you guys try running the stock motor off 48v before switching it out? I'm running 48v with a cheap Chinese controller and it's awesome. Still has the Heinzman whine but pulls any hill and top speed is about 25mph.

Cool. When I tried 36v on a 24v motor, it ran like a bat outa hell for about 30 minuites, and then melted down.

It's funny I'm just now visiting these 4 year old threads since I just bought a EVG bike frame to play around with. I just found this comment funny and then noticed in your signature that your wifes bikes now has lithium batteries. Must've needed to get out of the dog house
