I took a look at the "hobby blog" on hobbycity.

Sneak-Peak at our first 100% fully, totally, completely in-house designed and built motors. These puppies were 6 months in the making. Final costing isn't finalised, but I can tell you it's way below any current pricing, because you're buying them direct from the factory!"

You want big?
We have a BL motor larger than your head arriving soon.
We have BL's for 26, 50 and 100cc gas engines. They're a swap-in replacement with the same mount locations and shaft length."

This is the image that was attached to the post [EDIT-Pictures are of smaller motors not the big motors]

Another post on the blog says

Alot of big planes arriving in AU/DE this year. 50,150 and 300cc size gas planes."

Which leads me to believe the big motors will arrive at the same time, sometime later this year. (I'm calling it now, November 2nd. )

I'm not sure if everyone can view the blog, but here's a link to it - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/blog.asp

That picture is of smaller motors. Maybe they are similar in look to the big motors, but look at the wire and connectors. They are an indicator of the motor size. Also, the one motor says 1400 KV on it. That is way too high for a huge motor. I do not doubt whey are making a huge motor (maybe Mark's outrunner copy?). But, these in the picture are not very big.

Matt - look at the driveshaft on those in comparison with their leads, I'm guessing 4mm - 6mm at best?

Would be nice to get some decent, low cost and low kv Large outrunners on the market :)

Damn... I spent about over 1000 dollar there and I'm still not a high-level member

Anyway, it sounds very interesting, those motors in the picture look poor though lol

I think you have to log in. I'm only a gold-level member, and it let me see it after logging in.

I just ordered a 350 watt version of their motor - to run on 3S with a 1.38" can it could well work for a friction drive on almost anywheel + I have tons of 9mm wide, lower power 5mm htd pitch pulleys with a 4mm ID ready to rock if I need simple reduction.

Figure I will put the little bugger through it's paces - first to figure how to terminate to wye for a slightly more useable range.
