Hi
I have made a phase number shifter for adapting charging to surplus solar power, and charge ONLY from solar power.
You can have my homeassistant yaml for this, if you want to look and/or work on it.

Also i currently work on dimming the ac voltage to the charger, for low current charging. Works by dimming using 2 mosfets pr. phase at 25khz pwm.
I do not yet know, what ev thinks about this.

Plan was 1 to 6A use ac pwm - from 6 to max use pilot pwm.

Then stepless charging using all available solar power.

Homeassistant reads my power meter, and adjust charging acording to power_produced sensor.

That way if we start washing maching then ev charger backs down, and still only use solar power and NOTHING from grid.

Just some thoughts and exiting work and testing.

Maybe that will interest you. DC solar direct to charger
What kind of EV do you charge?

Hi Thank You for the info.

Had that idea too, but gave up before i even try it - that was aparently a mistake.

Ev is a Hyundai Kona 2025.

What i was afraid off, was the PFC - it might not like DC. But now i will try the DC way.

But why not DC - first thing ev does, is rectifing the AC.

I can see that Your ev also needs a new start, after change off voltage. That is the same when shifting number off phases. 3 second delay between changes. That might hurt the AC regulation way. Was hoping it was possible to vary AC "on the fly". Maybe if changes happen very slow.

Lots off testing still....
