EVSR, the fully electric racecars

At the end of the 2013 race season, Entropy Racing started to give some serious thought to a new project that would really showcase the shop’s talents and versatility. Entropy decided to take a stab at producing a low cost, viable electric race car for a variety of events in a small fraction of the time and budget. The result is a complete race car, dyno tested and ready to race in less than 3 months.

We are currently competing on a regular basis across the Northeast in road races, autocross, hillclimbs, and drag races. We have set records in numerous places including: Fastest Electric car up Mt. Washington at Subaru's Climb to the Clouds, Fastest Electric lap at Lime Rock Park, and Longest race with an electric (45 minutes of racing).

Our goal is to create a fleet of EVSRs to be the first pro electric series. We currently have 2 cars in competition and a 3rd on the way. We have proven reliability, competitiveness, and viability of our product, now its time search for sponsors.

Why don't you give us an overview of your vehicle, motor, controller, & battery specs etc
Options and costs ?
Oh, and I think you may have missed out on being the first pro electric race series.....heard of "FormulaE" ?

It has been an exciting first season for us! We actually have been campaigning all season long across the Northeast. EVSR #01 was on track in March 2014 and both cars were competing against each other and other gas cars since May 2014.

We currently have two competing EVSRs that have completed over 30 races during the 2014 season.

Here are some quick specs of the cars:

Power: 200 Ft/lbs of torque and 160 whp
Top Speed: Proven 140mph on Pocono Raceway
Range: 25 minutes (at full power) 45 minutes (on race mapping)
Weight: 1950lbs

We have built and campaigned both cars all season long for less money than a Formula E team spends in airfare.
