Hi,

I need a replacement for my Ezee Quando II (I think it;s the II)...can anyone tell me where I can get one at a good price and a reliable online store?

(36V 10 Ah lithium ion), I believe.

Thank you SO much.

Thanks for your reply! Well, I hadn't used it in 1-2 years (can't remember), so I'm pretty sure the battery is simply drained. After charging it, using it, and charging it again for 3-4 times, I can say the battery lasts for around 15 minutes (not straight through, as I only give the bike power for a few seconds at a time sporadically). Then it makes a puttering sound, and then dies. After a few mintues, it has a few seconds left of energy, then eventually makes the same sound, and then dies again. What do you think? (and, thanks for your help!)

i think these are 10S of LiMn2O4 and have a 42V charger. someone else may be more familiar with them.

i do not know how handy you are with tinkering but if you can open the casing and look inside and measure the individual cell voltages then we could offer some opinion about whether it can be revived.

i think there are already a few repair threads on this battery too.

but for replacements it depends on how fast and how you will mount the battery on the bike about the decision on which to buy.

As indicated in the post from dnmun, it may be possible to repair/revive your battery, but I don't know of a commercial outfit offering that service.

Where are you located? Do you want a replacement battery that fits/plugs into the socket in the Quando or are you interested in a lower cost alternative that would require some rewiring and working out a mounting scheme? If you are located in the US, NYCEWheels sells Ezee replacement batteries:

it's hard to know what to recommend to her without having some idea of what it looks like inside and what the cell voltages are. i was even hoping she would try to fix it herself. not really trivial but not impossible. good way to start.

Ya the battery for your ezee was drained too much from sitting. You're going to need to get a new 36 volt battery.

The ezee battery / charger has the same voltage as a 10s Lipo pack so worse comes to worst you could just stuff 4 packs of hobbyking lipos in there with the balance leads sticking out.
