[ATTACH type="full" alt="scooter small 2.jpg My neighbor was throwing this out and he gave it to me. Can anyone help me identify what this little scooter is. It says Scooter and it's got a currie electric motor. Thier are no numbers or anything that I can tell. To me it looks like an ezip 500 but I have no idea. Does anyone recognize this?

It has two 12v 10mah batteries which are toast. And a 3 pin connector for the charger. The motor does say 24v Which makes sense. I do NOT see anything that resembles a typical controller. I couldn't find one. I'm assuming it's built into the throttle box.

BIG QUESTION: CAN I MOD THIS PUPPY with LiPo's with out doing anything?

I'm big into RC carsand have lots of batteries for example I have 2 4S 5000 2 2S 5000 what I'd like to do is put the the 2 2S in series and make one 5000 4S then put these three 5000 4S in series again and make one large 5000 12S battery for 48V? Is this possible?

Can anyone tell me how to turn this into a LiPo scooter? Anything special that I need to do? I was just going to take 2 4S 5mah Lipo's and run them in series? Anyone see an issue with this? I'd have to fab up a connector but anything else?

The head tube says Currie and on the frame tube that holds the seat post it just says "Scooter". No other info that would resemble any kind of part number etc...

Question still remains can I upvolt this to 36v lipo? Weird thing is it doesnt appear to have anything that looks like a controller. Unless it's built into the throttle cable housing or motor casing. Anyone know anything about these?

Has anyone converted one of these to LiPo? I got an free hand me down and have some old lipo's lying around. The two 12v 10mah batt's are toast! I'd like to use some 4S 5mah batt's in parallel or series for that extra bump. To build the parallel and series connector's are easy enough but has anyone done this on this scooter?
