Hello,
I am building my first build and it would be nice to hear your opinion on the components that i am planning to buy.
My budget is tight, and i dont think that going above 6s would be a smart idea.
Longboard should be able to climb some hills, wheels are 70mm, pulleys 36 and 14 teeth...

Motor: http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/brushless-motors/alien-6374-outrunner-brushless-motor-240kv-3200w/
or http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/brushless-motors/alien-6355-outrunner-brushless-motor-230kv-2400w/ ?
Esc: http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/esc/alien-120a-2-7s-ev-mini-esc-bec/
Battery: 2x http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8583__ZIPPY_Flightmax_5000mAh_3S1P_25C_.html
Remote: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__44693__Quanum_2_4Ghz_3ch_Pistol_Grip_Tx_Rx_System.html
Charger: ?

Do i need to buy some connectors etc. ?

First off, really cheap build done by me. I wasn't using the same parts as you, but most of the idea still applies.

Looks like your supplies are good.
Either motor will work. Though the 240kv one will go ever-so-slightly faster then the 230kv motor, and with a bit more power.
However I DO have once concern about the 240kv motor:
It says 240KV in the title, but in the description, it says 60KV. I have no idea what is going on there. I might see if I can contact AlienPower systems about that. Typo perhaps?

Anyway, with a 240kv motor, and with that gearing, you will move about 13mph (21kph)

This charger will serve you well. Its what I used for my 6S Longboard [(2) 3S batteries in series]
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...5A_Charger_Discharger_1_6_Cells_GENUINE_.html
Cheap, simple and easy to use. It is however at the bottom of the line, so it wont be the fanciest, or fastest charger ever. But its a great start-out. for a small 6S system.

As for connectors...
I do not have any experience with Alien products (yet) so I couldn't tell you anything you have not already read in the product description.
For my current build I am using one of their 12S EV ESCs, So Ill see what they have to offer. But I cannot really help you there.

However, wiring in general, I have seen quite a bit of use of the 4mm banana plugs, and am planning to use some XT90 for my current build.
But as the batteries you are looking at already come with 4mm banana plugs, just stick with those.

You need a 4mm bullet banana series connector, so you can connect your two 3S batteries to make a 6S battery.

You also need a way to charge the batteries, so grab a 4mm banana charge lead adapter:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18099__HXT_4MM_to_Banana_Plug_Charge_Lead_Adapter.html
You may need to do some soldering or get some adapters so you can connect your batteries to the ESC's 5.5mm connectors however.
Same with the motor. I am guessing it has 4mm connectors, so you will need some adapters, or a soldering iron, to connect the motor to the ESC.

And if you want, for probably around 3-4 bucks, get a 4mm bullet banana parallel connector so you can wire your batteries in parallel, and see what its like to have double the ride time, but half the speed

Once again, refer to my instructable, it can answer a few wiring connectors, as well as show you in detail how I wired my board.

There are also a few other extremely well-written instructables on similar builds, Notably the one by PracticalProjects as he used some Alien products as well, making his build quite close to yours!

Hope that helps, and happy DIY! :D

Thanks for your help! It will be useful :)

Now that i was looking again at the motors i found that there are sensored and non sensored versions. What is the difference? Sensored are smoother at the starting because of the position sensor?
For example http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/brushless-motors/alien-6374-sensored-outrunner-brushless-motor-170kv-3200w/
But than i would need to lower my gear ratio because it is 170kv, about 24t for engine and 36t for wheels.
Am i right?

i built my first electric longboard last week with parts from aliendrivesystems. everything performs great so far. made a build video about it, maybe you find it helpful. will report more once i have tested it all out.

Congratulations, great video! Found it very useful :)

At the end i decided for:

http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/brushless-motors/alien-6374-outrunner-brushless-motor-240kv-3200w/
Battery : 3s+4s in series ( i am going to charge them seperately)
