Hey Guys,

I built my wife a Giant Revive with a 3210 and 10ah of lipo a few years ago. She rides it and really enjoys it. But I have not had a decent bike for myself since building it for her until recently. Today she asked if I would like to take out the bikes? I said sure! So we rode for about 4 miles. No big deal, but it was truly a blast. This was a very different experience sharing an ebike trip with her.

How many of you ride with your wife?

Hey Matt!

I ride with my wife at least three times a week. We have a nice little route that's 7 to 10 miles depending on which way we go.

It really is a lot of fun. My average speed goes down a bit when she's with me but it's because we spend time chatting and enjoying ourselves more than racing to get somewhere.

It's good fun for sure. She's a huge ebike fan now which makes my hobby easier to justify. lol

I ride with my wife whenever I have a working bike and a free weekend. We like to pull our daughter in the trailer down to the beach to play and back.

She rides a bike every day and isn't even licensed to drive. I'm kinda jealous of her. :D

Missus Ykick thoroughly enjoys ebikes. Several years ago we rode all over Yosemite valley and had such a blast.

More recently, between So CA beaches or NYC waterfront she's very hooked.

Although she's not quite "ready" for serious traffic work yet she's fine for bike/walk paths and trails.

I have E-biked with the wife a few times. It's really fun. She is full throttle the whole time so it can be a little frightening to watch. I try to keep her on the slower bike with the brighter headlight now that I have seen her ride. I actually just got her bike running with a 12turn 9c motor in a 26" wheel. That winding should slow her down a bit. I had so much fun riding with her that I took a break from my primary build to get her bike going just to be sure I would have a riding buddy.

The first two Ebikes I built were for my parents so currently there are 3 running bikes in the family. It is way more fun to ride with people. I find that I can get so wrapped up in the technical bits of Ebikes that I sometimes forget to enjoy the ride. Its neat to see other people get the EV grin. Anybody with a wife that supports this obsession is lucky.

Just be careful letting anyone near an ebike that is not used to bikes in general. I have had a lot of close calls letting people ride our mild hub build. For some reason having a motor seems to make people forget the basics of riding a bike. Its like some kind of EV hypnosis I don't yet understand.

My wife and I ride 4-5 times per week, normally. She works from home and I am "semi retired" but also teach online from home. It helps to keep us both in shape, as out trips are all about 20 miles and take 1.5 to 2 hours. Bike trails and a "secret" lap circuit.

I dont ride with the missus as i only have 1 e bike at the mo.
She has had a couple of rides but forgot to switch off the bike when dismounting and twisted the throttle then got slammed into the floor, dont worry the bike was fine

Mine just watches cooking and home decorating shows, and then wants to move around our furniture afterwards.
