First of all I would like to say Hello to everyone:)
I have been in the background for years after I got hooked on EV´s with cheap china kit and lipos.. Sorry if I write akward/funny, Finnish is my main language.
Now its time to build something real and here is the deal.
Plan is to make light weight bike with good acceleration and handling and good looks also 8)
I have dual suspension Cube bike, yes its carbonfiber  http://www.cube.eu/en/bikes/fullsuspension/ams/ams-100-super-hpc-race-29/ I have bought slightly used Crystalyte X5304 rear hub motor. it weights one kg more than the whole bike:D I was planning to buy new more light weight motor but this X5 was so good deal... My friend makes me custom (CNC) rear "triangle" from steal and for robust motor assembly.
I have 100pcs new Sony vtc4 cells. I measured every one of them after having them on my desk for a month and they all sit presice 3.6v.
I am planning to make 20s 5p pack split on two for neat assembly using spotwelder and plastic holders. (waiting for those holders) I hear some use those Sony´s without bms but Im thinking to use foundingpower bms or something else, I havent desited yet.. And I have no controller, mayby sabvoton 72v 6kw or kelly for 5x series?
Also have to find good charger, i have no clue what? Best would be something multivoltage, for future projekts and really dont want to buy many chargers. :?
I post some pics later, this is not two week build anyways and if necessary I will make the frame stronger with carbon/kevlar fiber.

Well, so much for light. But I bet you will love that 5304. If you don't like it on that new bike, you will love it for sure if you ever build a cargo bike, or want to tow trailers. It's a crude old design motor now days, but still the great choice for a heavy bike.

6kw might be a bit much for it though, depending on how cool you want to keep it. On my cargo bike, I run mine at a mere 2k and it won't heat up at that wattage, even climbing 10% loaded up with cargo. I think a lot of people have run 5k wattage with few issues. I wouldn't hesitate to run 40 amps of 100v on one.

Someday I might change this motor to something lighter and I was thinking to buy 6kw controller so there is no need to upgrade in few years. I can use it with less power and less heat but if I need more power there´s no need to go shopping
Its still light weight bike even with this beast motor and controller, those sony´s deliver good punch with very low weight.. Total weight is going to be under 30kg when my last bike was 37kg with 1kw power..
Any suggestions for charger?
