I went on Flipsky's website today and noticed they had some new VESCs up: the 110200 & 110300. For those who haven't seen it yet, a few months or so ago, Flipsky released their first high-voltage VESC, the 110100. The reason this is very interesting is because
  1. this would enable use of 24s LiFePo4 with VESC whereas previously you were forced to use a different controller (with the exception of Spintend's 100a model, one of which I have).
  2. Even for normal 20s 72v, this drastically the risk of overvoltage failure on spikes, giving you much more component headroom, which is a good thing with Flipsky who doesn't build much headroom into the designs.
The only problem with the 110100 was that it was 100a. They basically just caught up with Spintend. Now, there is finally both a 200a and 300a version (and if you look at the specs, the 200a is actually quite a bit more powerful in wattage than the 75200 as it can do 200a instead of 150a continuous at 72v.)

Real-world longevity/performance has yet to be determined so far as I've seen, but it looks like an extremely promising option for a more versatile VESC.

Yeah, I noticed those the other day. Tempting.

I've got a lot of ebike miles on two 75200s at 20s set near their upper current limits with zero problems. The 110300 would certainly enable an 80mph build on 24s, but that's pegging the safety meter on bicycle components (tires, wheels, hubs, brakes) well into the red zone...

I like my ebuilds to resemble bicycles not motorcycles- which I have plenty of. I've never been stopped, but hard to talk your way out of a potential police interaction on an illegal "motorcycle".
