Cute. If we feed it, will it grow up to be an Ebike?

Hehe... Funny Guy. Objective here maybe (?) is to sign up those still riding those antique, pedal-only PoopMobiles by offering something "non-threatening". Think ebike in Sneaky Mode. Gotta get `em addicted first, eh?

EDIT: Had to look this up... German "freygeist"? Roughly... Free Spirit.

I still don't understand why someone would pay thousands of dollars extra for an ebike over a regular bike and then disguise it so no one knows. Is there some sort of shame attached to ebiking that I didn't get the memo about? Or is this something to win bets with by cheating....?

Hehe... Maybe see current ES thread "Another suspected ebike cheater"

I still don't understand why someone would...

With my own eyes, I have seen businesses make tremendous profits selling decaf coffee, non-alcohol beer, and 2WD Jeeps (*slowly shakes head). If I could make a million dollars selling ice to the Eskimos, I would.

I'm looking for a minimalistic frameset like this Freygeist model, basically a frame that allows me to hide a battery inside. Anyone know of an alternative project?

And I don't understand why someone would put a 2k watt motor on a bike, feel comfortable wearing a motorcycle helmet and risk severe fines if caught by the police riding in urban areas. But I know people do. So what!? The Freygeist ebike has style and fulfills a need to get around town quickly and effortlessly. But I guess I could rebuild it for half the price.

Right. Ebikes don't have pedals (see the picture).
