Hello,

First: sorry for my English, I do my best :/

I bought a Forca Evoking this summer available here: http://www.forca-sports.de/evoking/

I wish to change motor & controller to a 1600w BLDC motor with the right controller.

The official supplier sells the following kit: http://www.zawione-group.de/ersatzteil/performance-umbaukit-eagletec-motor-vgt-plus/a-5002183/

This kit includes 3 components:
- 1600W BLDC Motor
- 1600W BLDC Controller
- Connectors

Here is a photo of this kit:

But it costs 400Eur, I find that this is too expensive.

The official chinese manufacturer sells @ Aliexpress the same pieces for a cheaper cost:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-1600W-48V-Brushless-Electric-DC-Motor-for-Foldable-Electric-Scooter-Using-with-4800rpm-Speed-Electric/32366843605.html

(= 200 Eur, half price..)

I contacted the chinese manufacturer to upgrade my current configuration and this is his answer:

Now i am afraid that maybe it's hard for you changing the motor , because of the controller of your original scooter is combined plugins( one 9 plugins connector), right ?

But now our 1500W or 1600w controller are both separate plugins connector. It will be hard for connecting with each other.

So I've sent some photos of my current controller to him:

Yes, the controller connector is different , it will be hard for connecting with each other
Yes, need to make a new cable connector.

But I don't understand what is the true problem and he doesn't respond to my questions now.

If I change my motor AND my controller, will I encounter problems as he tells me ? Is this a connector problem between the motor and the controller or is this a problem between the controller and other connectors (lights, handbrake, horn and so on...)

I have no wiring diagram of the current configuration and so I'm afraid to have to change it, it's like an impossible mission.

Please can you give me your opinion and help me maybe ?

Thank you very much and have a good afternoon

welcome orsa, If only our chinese was as good as our english...
There is probably some misunderstanding with the supplier,
I assume you know that a sensored brushless motor should be wired to the controler with at least 3 thick wires and 5 smaller ones...

Hello made_in_the_alps_legacy , thank you for your reply.

Yes I know this fact and I would like to buy both components sold by the chinese manufacturer : BLDC 1600w controller & motor so there can not be any connection problem between these two components imo?

If you take a look at the kit sold by the german supplier, you can see a connector 4 -> 1 within.

If I read the message sent by the chinese manufacturer, he talks about one 9 plugins connector, my current controller has 12 plugins connector. So I'm asking myself to know if this connector 4 -> 1 is the connector that I need to use the chinese controller with my scooter? Unfortunately, the german supplier is not selling this connector 4 -> 1 separately...

In fact, I've already bought the chinese controller but I didn't open it yet.

I can take photos of my current controller and the chinese controller to help to determine what is the problem maybe?

Thank you

Weird because on the aliexpress controller link, there is indeed 12 wires described... like your actual one!?
maybe you don't need this 4 <> 1 intermediate cable...
I am sorry, i can't help any further... i always replace connectors to my wish on anything i buy

It's a mistake from me, sorry.

My current controller has 9 wires.
