How's the new ride?
Very nice! Perfect trail bike - light, agile and playful. Climbs as good as a hard tail and shreds the descends.

Entered the 6hr enduro race this Sat-Sun at the You Yangs. Should be interesting 8)

Nice. Gotta try a decent dual suspension trail bike some day.

Have a blast at the enduro !

No chance of taking the Avanti on a trail ride..

Been asked on a short notice to join a couple of friends to race at a 6hr XC marathon. Don't have a XC bike, so took the above 150mm travel trail bike with a dropper post and 750mm bars. Have not raced XC in nearly 6 years either. Thought it would be a good opportunity to test the new 650b wheelset. Built the wheels over a couple of week nights, fitted them to the bike (it came with the adapter for the back) in the morning, drove to the race in the arvo and raced the next morning.

Had no issues of keeping up with 29er hardtails on the uphills and flats just to pass them on the downhills  Our team took the win quite comfortably and since one of the sponsors is an awesome micro brewery - the victory tasted very nice indeed 8)

The guy camping next to us quit after one lap. Too rocky apparently  Another turned up on a fat bike. His lap times were 40% slower than mine. When will people learn fat bikes are for snow and sand.. Gladly there were no cyclocross bikes.

Haven't ridden any ebikes since end of Jan. this morning felt like having another go. Topped up the cells. Went for a ride.

At the beginning it felt like riding a heavy bike the same way I could ride a light bike when I'm fit :)
Then the belt stripped (thanks to LR's adj plates, the idler is their for a good reason)
At that stage it felt like riding a very heavy bike :(

So, I'm done with it. It's for sale.

$1,500 - complete as above with the original plates, a new belt and a few more bits
$500 - frame only, I'll use the motor for a mower conversion haha

Pick up only from Melb
