The bike is a modified 2015 Mongoose Status 2.2 = Fusion prototype by Cutler Cycles of California.
26 in wheels, Duel suspension, Aluminum midsection frame, newer model has a front disk brake, Headlight wired to
the batteries and on and off switch and USB port.
This model features a 1'' stem. 48v 15 AH, AGM batteries, Under 3 hrs to charge. Optional Lithium batteries.
1000 watt hub motor, top speed i achieved was 33+mph flat ground, I can get 28 to 29 miles of range on flat ground if
I keep speeds 15 to 17 mph.
Custom made aluminum body panels hide batteries and electronics.
I had a very minor electrical issue when I purchased the bike in Dec 2014
Cutler Cycles repaired it and its been very reliable and a good car replacement
when needed. I have ridden the bike to Venice Beach, Hollywood, North Hollywood, Sylmar etc!
I have put at least 5k plus miles on it. The SLA batteries make it heavy at about 90 pounds
but it does the job very fun to speed along at 20 mph or so.
I crashed it at a low speed had to replace the front rim.
I recommend wearing a helmet because accidents happen.
I enjoy taking 10 to 20 mile cruises blasting my Boombox in
the city.The original LCD was destroyed by rain the current LCD bracket
broke when the bike fell over. I used zip ties to secure it to the
handle bars. I added the fenders to the bike and covered the panels
with stickers of nations. I sometimes use the bike to go
grocery shopping and to run errands. I hope to see more
from Cutler Cycles in the future.
