I bought a brushless, sensorless DC motor (Evergreen IM) that was intended for use driving a fan. It has some "intelligence" in it that makes the controller useless for other things. So my idea is to replace the controller with something more generic. I measured the RMS voltage to the windings at 190V. But I could live with less than rated power, so 100V/4A might be OK. Does anyone know of a low cost controller that would work with this motor? Or if not a complete controller, a driver/sensor interface board that would allow control from a micro-controller? Thanks.
