I have the Battery amps set to 64, Phase amps to 170 and this is on 24s lipo. Peak voltage is 100.8 off the charger. My shunt is entered at 1.333. I found that the higher you go with the phase amps the more it peaks above 64 battery amps. With 140 phase amps i was getting 6180watts peak. I picked 170 phase amps because of all the reading i was doing that said keep the phase/battery ratio the same as you increase the current. Peak current on the CA shows 73-74.
The brakes on the new bike im building are Hope Tech V4 evo stealth with 203mm floating disks. These are twin piston mono bloc bad boys 8) The braking surface is 2 x that of my budget hydros on my Talon so im expecting good performance out of them. Hayes stroker ace look simular to these now that ive read abit about them. What speeds are you braking from that requires larger disks?
Strokers are also 4 piston brakes. My bike had new Strokers on the front and I bought a matching set for the rear. Right now I've peaked at 53 mph (85 kph!) but most rides are mid 40's. I just want to have more brake than needed rather than not enough. I find that the faster I can go the more I go fast, obvious or not. I probably will just stick to what I have for right now but really like the idea of the floating disk for longer braking periods where I'm in the tight trails/woods.
I have 55 amps battery and 110 phase on my bike right now. I read anywhere between 1-2 and 1-2.5 is the ratio to use. I went the conservative route. It's supposed to hit 70+ degrees this afternoon so I think I will try 65 amps and 130-150 phase for today's ride.
Thanks for the info,
Tom
