Golf Cart Parts for E-Bike?

Yea... oh well. At least its not wasted like other money pits, and you should have something that lasts a long time if you do it correctly.

It is in fact all wasted when something goes wrong with the hokey Chinese charger, and you brick your battery pack. Just to be clear.

If I were you, I would use a motorbike of some kind rather than a bicycle. If you feel you must use a bicycle, find an out-of-date freestyle bike from the days of 40-50 pound freestyle bikes. It won't offer you a lot of space for equipment, but it will probably not twist or break when you run a golf cart's worth of motor torque through it.

And I would plan on not using the cranks. The motor drive will prevent them from turning.

I probably should edit the original post, but its somewhere in the comments section for now.
I have a 0.9hp motor now that im planning for my first bike, along with 2 mid sized scooter batteries.
my next build will use a bigger hub motor, better controller and lithium batteries of some sort.
The only reason I wanted to use a bicycle was so that I could still ride it without a motorcycle license.

You don't need to have a motorcycle licence to ride an illegal unregistered homemade motorcycle. What's one more ticket at at that point?

Check your local motor vehicle statutes to figure out if what you are building is still a legal bicycle or not.

I have, and as long as the motor is under 1 hp and the bike goes less than 30 its legally a bicycle and doesn't need a permit, after that its considered a motorcycle
