Properly certified batteries under 100 watt-hours are largely exempted from the dangerous goods shipping restrictions and are even allowed aboard passenger aircraft with your carry-on luggage. Why not use this as the building block that can be easily re-assembled into a large battery?

Made in Canada, eh? (Weight 610 g (1.3lb) per "brick").

Can the logo bricks be charged as one homogeneous pack or must the be charged individually? Also, if they could be charged as one pack, could they be wired 4x1 for use on the bike, but charged 2x2 to decrease charge time? And can they be plugged together with varying levels of charge without issue? (I'm curious as hell because these bricks make diy ebiking more affordable while still being able to get the range desired but leave half the bricks at home to get a light nimble bike for work)

STILL think the fastest recharge times come with swapping a "tired" pack for a "freshie"... And that ANY battery chemistry is "better served" by SLOW-er-ish charge/discharge rates.

I would not recommend paralleling together any batteries that aren't very near the same state of charge (voltage) as there's nothing restricting the flow of current from the higher one into the lower one. This is very likely to cause one or both of them to exceed their rated charge/discharge ratings, get very hot and possibly catch fire.

That said, these are very cool and if they came in 48V I'd be tempted.

i just bought these batteries. they are amazing. you can charge them together because each pack has it's own bms.

Does anyone know - is there a way to check the voltages of the individual cells in the LiGo battery? ie: checking if a cell is going bad.
