What's the gluey resin stuff that holds the hall sensors, attached to the little PCB, in place inside a MAC?
I've not tried to take the PCB out yet, but I've read the gluey stuff can be heated up to make it soft.
I don't want to replace the halls and fix them back in with too strong a stuff, as I may have to remove them again in the future sometime.

Would one of those electric glue guns do the job?
Once the glue has hardened, can it be melted again by reheating?

It is usually epoxy or resin. Heat will soften it so you can dig out the sensor. I'd use clear epoxy to reglue it since hot glue can melt at high motor temps.
