Hi, I'v got myself a HEINZMANN PMS120 motor supposedly from a BRAMMO ENERTIA motorcycle for my EV conversion. Also bought a SEVCON GEN4 (part no. 634A42203) controller for it. http://www.electricmotorsport.com/sevcon-gen4-36-48-275.html
Recently I found out that the PMS120 I've got is equipped with a encoder RLS28SC - Absolute binary synchro-serial (SSI) http://www.rls.si/rmb28-rotary-magnetic-module with AM8192B – angular magnetic sensor chip http://www.rls.si/am8192b-13-bit-rotary-magnetic-sensor-chip.

Any one on this board that can tell if the controller I'v got is going to work with the motor? Or better to say if the two are compatible?

Hello Mate,

The controller you have Is compatible winth SIN-COS or UVW encoder,

This encoder seems a little Special, Its a RS422 Serial Encoder, There might have a way to use it with the Gen4 but I am unsure, you should contact Sevcon to know,

You could also try to contact HEINZMANN in order to know if this exact motor configuration is known to work with the GEN4 controller (They might have different encoder options too so might end up replacinf this encoder for a "more regular one")
