I have a 36 volt ePlus (Tidal Force) bike. Purchased last Nov. appears that from riding in the cold - the data cable that runs from the digital display (bottom plug in) into the frame (from which i believe it splits into multiple lines) cracked and lost its connection.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problem. I tried cleaning it and wiggling it. Made brief connection then lost it and haven't been able to get back since. Possibly and electricion could do a solder job on it - but it has 5 connectors in a tight space.

Any assistance or guidance or sale of a cable would be most appreciated!!!

Thanks!!

Where is it cracked? If it's somewhere in the middle of the line.... are you able to cut the cable and add your own?

If it's broken on the board itself.. looks like you might need to dig out your soldering iron and magnifying glass!

Some pics might be able to help us brain storm a solution up.

Good luck!

Just the spring loaded cowling is cracked - but now after reading some reports it sounds like it is very easy to short-circuit and fry the boards or the motor. It at first would generate an error message if i wiggled the cable - but now cannot get any connection response.

I am not much of a DIYer - my pudgy fingers and a solder gun would only make a mess of things.

Has been a great 4 months with the bike. Hope I can get it running again. I live in NYC if any of you engineers want a project or have any suggestions. Please let me know.
