help for BMS with comunication

So excited that I miss-connected charger interlock and smoked it.

On the plus side. The bms can be easily reconfigured from 10s to 15s.
Running a 12s bms on 10s pack. Watching the first charge on computer.
Hardware and sw changes are straight forward after doing it. Not much help from seller.

Thanks for posting the pictures on how to configure the boards for different cell counts.

My first impressions like yours are that this BMS is very good for the money. Software is a little rough around the edges but gives all the information that one needs, nice that you can calibrate the unit voltages using the PC software. Looks like the software interface is Modbus so it shouldn't be too difficult to hack.

I did a quick rough check of the current consumption on the negative lead:-
Idle, Bluetooth PCB disconnected, 0.1mA with ~8mA pulse every around two seconds
Bluetooth connected and linked to phone software 9.5mA with pulse of >29mA
Bluetooth PCB connected but not paired with phone, 0.7mA with pulse peak ~29mA

Is it possible to use this module only for the bluetooth cell voltage feature? Setup will draw closer to 120-150 amps but this is nice and cheap and could monitor my 12s pack when I'm riding. Thanks for the photos as well :D

Yes, of course. No need to run current thru fets.
Makes nice monitor.
Might as well use the balance function. Very flexible.

I'm thinking of using a bms, monitor only, with 6 x 12v lead batteries.

Where have you ordered them without the Bluetooth module for cheaper? Same link on Ali as above? I like the idea of using them for modular packs, but clearly it wouldn't be helpful to have so many Bluetooth connections going on.
