I bought a used X-Treme XB-300Li on craigslist and it doesnt have a OEM battery.

http://www.x-tremescooters.com/electric_bicycles/xb300li/xb300li.html

I want to buy a OEM replacement battery, but Id really like to upgrade it to a 36v or even a 48v. Can anyone help me find where I can buy a replacement or upgrade?

If you want to upgrade I'd consider buying something from ping battery. You'll get more for your money it just won't be quite as pretty. I'm pretty sure all the batteries he sells are lithium iron phosphate.

I'd rather not get the stock 24v 8ah from X-TREME. I want to upgrade if I can.

I contacted FULLRIVER but they say they wont sell to me directly. They arent the OEM manufacturer.I cant find who the manufacturer is.And I cant find pics or descriptions of the bottom terminal.

But thanks,Ive contacted http://www.emissions-free.com/ Since hes British

LOL....I actually am looking at that site right now,and I just emailed them.Thanks.Wish there was a british, european,or American reseller

I bought one like this from conhis, delivered to Sydney Australia, they are not lifepo4 as advertised, but li Ni co mn. Much lighter as a result though, one benefit there. Think my 36v 12 ah is only 2.8 kg including case. Only rated at 1c remember, fair bit of V sag, but battery going very well so far, have done 1500km so far.

Look up conhismotor aluminum case on ES, there's a whole thread about this batt

hi Logos,

There is no terminal like that on the bottom, it's the same case but uses the standard IEC 3 pic (240V) connector out the side of the top section of the battery, and charging port on the other side of top. Battery meter on the very top.

If your bike is set up to use the ports at the bottom, you would have to rewire an IEC cable in to use the one from Conhis.

There are so many of these types of battery cases in use by the look of some of the off the shelf bikes from china, there must be a few places that stock them, finding an actuall supplier though appears to be difficult. If a western supplier, likely to be much more expensive than a chinese seller, however you pay mor efor shipping from china of course..

If you want a closer look I can send you a very high res version of this photo.

I have since painted the aluminium black (fine sand, primer and matt black) looks much better, less like a battery, flies lower under the radar and maintains the Knight Rider look...)
