I have an orchard that Is hilly and I need to zoom around.
Iv gone and killed now two cheapo 350 watt electric scooters and a hundreds $$$$ in batteries.
So far they last a year and then die (Batteries)

My toughs are

1. Gas,
2. Electric start
3. Knobbies for off road.
4. must get a 170 pound guy around (ok I drank some beer and got fat who cares)
5. Mod a basket to hall tools and plant food (gallon jugs)

options:

a. X-Treme Scooters XG-575 ??

Must be tough and not fall apart!
Needs to go up a kind of steep paved drive way half mile long (mail box run!!)

Please correct any stupid things im posting, iv killed two electric scooters, the cheaper 350 watt Currie kinds.

I have a Honda Eleite 80CC and yes its awesome! But its to big to get in between the isles of my veggies and trees so something smaller!

Your real tough is saying you want a gas scooter on ES. I mean I'm not one of the people who bashes needing gas, but that talk just doesn't belong in this community, right?

If you had a pic of your two 350watters that didn't make it, I could try to figure out about maybe a 1000w motor to bolt on. But then maybe you just want a new one.

But what? 1000w? With blinkers and rear view mirrors? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/2013-New-High-Quality-1000W-48V-Foldable-Electric-Scooter-with-Headlights-Taillights-Turning-Lights/422511_1416063933.html

2000w? (Note they both have the knobbies) http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/2016-New-2000W-60V-Adult-Foldable-Electric-Scooter-Two-wheel-Electric-Scooter-Captain-Scooter-By-CHIHUI/422511_32669559117.html

Or maybe the real killer scooter. I almost think this guy should have the fairings. But it doesn't come with knobbies. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/2016-New-2000W-48V-Adult-Foldable-Electric-Scooter-Two-wheel-Men-s-Electric-Scooter/422511_32667450293.html

mongoose m350 scooter "curry"

new batteries, new brain, new throttle, new motor,

I cant get the rear wheel aligned so the speed and power is gone.
I think its had it!

options: UberScoot 1600 Watt or gas with electric start.
2016 Hyper Racing 1600 watt 48v both about $650

So its a single battery how long does it last?

The cheaper ones I just wreck and the brains once caught fire on a hill.
Im kind of tough on them use them every day for miles and they wear out!

How deep is your wallet?

If you want a true off-road basher with long endurance start by using a123 26650 batteries, get one hubmonster from John (rim is attached) or a MXUS if you don't want too much bursts, stack two huge controllers like ZombieSS has been doing and voila. Ah, get a frame strong enough to withstand the torque, you're not ready for this.

Edit : I'll help you a bit there, if you want an example of overkill off road setup somewhat compact. You need 96x 26650 LifePo4 cells to get 20Ah at 43V. This is a tap of 560A continuous. You won't need this much so your batteries are good for years to come.
Add a Midmonster from John in CR for 349$. You can run it hub or gear driven, it is bulletproof (could likely handle at least 4kw continuous). Add 2x VESCs, because it is 6 phases motor. split 50A per VESC. Worst case if you overdo it, VESCs will blew but their the cheapest part to replace in your build, and nobody said that they will blow.
Still you need to get a good frame. You should have come close to 1500$ total budget, but that's for a very good setup.

Good luck

I'm trying to imagine how an 80cc honda ('trail 70' comes to mind, or 'xr80') is not small enough for you.

This situation is a perfect example where gas still shines in price, versatility, and even 'ease' of use.
Stick with gas/make it work, or get some major diy skills, or spend and arm/leg on very specialized electric. A 1500w cheap scooter is never gonna take the beating a <100cc geared setup can.
