I'm trying to connect to an APT controller, model AE2026 from the looks of it, with the EV Drive Manager software I picked up from another thread. It's version 3 and seems to launch fine but it won't connect. The manufacturer sent some files with a Prolific PL2303 driver to install, however the cable they provided appears to have a CH340 chip. Are there unique communication protocols for USB to serial connections according to the chipset?

The cable has only 3 wires, and the USB end has LEDs, red when connected to the bike, and blue once connected to a PC. The blue sometimes flickers, I'm assuming as data is either going or coming.

I tried installing the Prolific driver on a Win11 laptop which was suggested by the manufacturer, but it seems pointless as the laptop recognizes the cable with a CH340 under the Device Manager port listing.

I can't seem to locate any information online on the port connection, which uses a circular connector. The manufacturer's web site doesn't provide a lot of useful info to me.

I finally manage to connect to it. I needed to re-install the CH340 driver on my laptop. Now I can see the controller parameters. But must admit I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of parameters.

Looks like the controller wasn't set up for the bike, as it had the reverse option enable. The bike also cuts off under load, as I suspect the throttle curve or max current aren't setup right. Is there any guide or manuals available to the EV Driver Manager V3?
