I'm hoping someone can identify this pcb, the point being I would like to know what each of the wires are for, and also for information on the three unused solder tabs, could this be for a throttle?

The bike is a Kudos Tourer and is the standard 4 button display, pedalec no throttle

Is that the whole thing?
I would look up the chip

I can't make out the numbers of the chip, will need to take it apart again, great idea though, hope to check it tomorrow

The throttle connects to the controller, not the LCD. Did you look for the throttle connector there?

Is it this one? Bigstone 300

Hi d8veh, that's the exact one, the funny thing is, there is no connector on the controller for a throttle, on the display there is an "Auto" mode and when selected and I pedal the bike (move magnets past crank sensor) the motor engages, the bike then crawls along at a walking pace up to 3.7Km/h, I take it, it expects a voltage from the (non existent) throttle for an increase in power
I'm going to be doing some tidy up work on the cable entering the display to fit some heatshrink tubing.
I'll make a note of all the wires and what they do and read voltage wise under different conditions, etc.

It only costs about £60 to swap the controller for a nice S06S and S-LCD3, which will give you throttle, nice PAS and quieter smoother motor.
