Higher ah cells at the ends

anyone ever put higher ah cells at each end of their series of cells?

for example getting a 48 volt string you would need 15 cells, so you would put a higher ah cell at each end...with 13 lower ah cells inbetween.

Nope. The lower capacity cells will limit the available Ahs to what they can give. Try to go past it and you'll overdischarge and damage them.
