Just got this email..

In an ever increasing effort to drive more value into the R/C market HobbyKing has begun piloting retail store franchises in select regions around the globe, underscoring HobbyKing's commitment to the R/C industry.
Each store will retail both HobbyKing and other branded products and will also serve as a service center for warranty and technical support.
Products sold online can be serviced in-store as well as sent back to your local service center.
At a later stage 'HobbyKing Store Front's will be filling local internet orders and pre-ordering requested items from any one of HobbyKing's warehouses locally and abroad.
We hope that the HobbyKing Store Front network combined with increased service levels and a 24hr support desk (ETA May-15) will improve quality of service and ultimately customer satisfaction.

HHHMMM... i fear for my local stores... although they want to sell a 5s 5ah 20c Zippy battery for $120 when hobbyking only charges $43...

Gonna put a lot of RC stores out of business.
But damn, it would be nice to *actually have a warranty* and not have to ship to China.
They will quickly learn that they cannot sell certain crappy products to the USA.

You missed the part where they suggest they are willing to use existing hobby stores....
The secret is out, HobbyKing has store fronts!
.... in the meantime if you have a local store that you would like to see carry our products please tell them to email us at cs@hobbyking.com

..But either retail prices for HK products will increase, or other stores and smaller manufacturers will suffer. :?

Yeah, I'd certainly send my new imax back if shipping wasn't more than it's worth. They're gonna have a lot more returns when they open more american stores and warehouses. Which means higher prices, but i'd rather pay $1 more for them to use the proper %1 resistors in my imax voltage sensors rather than %10 resistors.

good thing they opened USA and EUROPE warehouse.
I ordered some cells from german warehouse sent to german address and got them within 2 days - all good cells!
And the price is not much higher than sending from HK taking all the extra costs.

I think at least for Europe, the german warehouse with low prices and fast shipping is a great solution. the only problem is, that they have no 6S 5ah in stock!!!
Once they receive it, they sell very quick.
Also the choice is limited. I think from customer and business perspective it would be best if they have just one central place in Europe, good stock management and fast shipping / returns.

they reply emails with at least 7 days delay

Try calling the US phone number.. they hang up on you. Stepping up the service would be good.
So strange. I got great service over the phone from them.

Nobody seems to have the same good luck i have with HK.

I'm done trying. I'm out another $7 postage trying to return this broken charger.. which they refused even with the label they gave me to print out! The guys who all say order extra to cover the bad product you get.. those guys have the right idea. You need two chargers, order three. You need 8 lipo packs.. order 10. You need to figure the extra expense in to the budget before you decide which way to go on a project.

Has anyone contacted LUKE, LFP, and see if he has direct contact with Mr. Hobby King ?? He might want to know what is happening in the US Warehouse ??

Could just be people that want a paycheck, but, don't want to sell Chinese product, so, they are lackadaisical.

for few weeks now there has not been any 6s4ah zippy / turnigy stock in german warehouse so i emailed them. They responded after few days but did not give my any time frames where they would get them.
Very disappointing!
