Hobby wing 150A issues

Mine does the same as well as other dangerous things like suddenly stopping. The programming is important and I didn't do it. If u read on here there's programing settings people advise for boards
If u didn't program it yet the 10$ card is a good idea since programing it with beeps and lights solo is beyond difficult for me anyway

Check the programming. Sounds to me like your cut off voltage is set too high and/ or your batteries are too low.

yes the hk is quirky..

if you accelarate too fast it will stutter and slam you on the pavement... you learn that one quickly... smooooothhhhhh accel and even then sometimes it just wants to see you bleed and it will do it anyways...

Yes it will go on at min power once in a while just for the fun of it... in my case it occurs when i flip it on using the switch as opposed to plugging and unplugging.. so leave it on.. and use your plugs as on/off switch... if it goes in slow-mo unplug wait a couple secs till te caps discharge and try again. Never gotten the slo-mo twice in a row in this manner.

Also none of the settings are any good so get the card and reprogram it...

On a happier note it is impossible to overheat and is super-splashproof

Have 3 right now.. however as they die... Im replacing them with the Vesc or the hobbywing.. much better accel, much better braking, and without the full speed hickup/face slam experience...

oops my bad..

never had any issues with the hobbywing....more than 3000 kms on the velociraptor before i fell off (my fault) and it slamed into a curb and died..

Yeah, super reliable! The only time mine has ever cut out was because of the low voltage cut-off setting.

Evidently the futaba type lead plugged into ch 2 needed to be disassembled and lightly squeezed for better fit into RX 3 prong posts. I guess my constant experimenting with the program card caused them to widen for loose cnection. Thanks for the feedback. Both of mine run great, even the one that had the A phase port (female brass plug-in) broke completely out  . Soldering those isn't easy....
