Has anybody succeeded yet in interfacing to a battery pack from a Honda Civic Hybrid II? There is a lot of recent issues with packs loosing capacity in HCHII, to the point of Honda issuing a "product update" to reduce effective depth of discharge in certain use cases to prolong their life. Being an owner of one of these cars (2007 HCHII), I've been wondering if anyone has managed to get communication going with the BMS of the pack. It would help quite a bit to see currents/voltage/temperature and maybe(though unlikely in NiMH pack) cell voltages. I know people do that with Prius, by tapping into their CAN bus. Anything similar with Hondas?

You may want to go over to 'insight central' the forum for the honda car. Those guys do a lot of mods on their cars and might be able to answer this.
I myself am trying to reverse engineer a honda 3 phase controller to use in an electric vehicle.

This might help

It does not use CAN though sorry. :(

Thanks for the link!
Do you know how much of that is true for the 2006+ Civics? The architecture of the system might be rather different
As far as CAN-I was hoping somebody already figured a way to query the pack over ODBII link using ScanGauge.;)
