Hi,

I am not affiliated with these buys, except as a buyer. I was planning to send Luke a PM in case he is interested, but decided to post the information here, in case anyone else is interested. If the mod's want to move it to the for sale section feel free to do so.

Here's some information on GAZ Shocks

Well, I finally got my rear set of GAZ shocks from the UK this week and yesterday I finally installed them. I will post pics later tonight once I get off work but I must tell you I am very impressed with what I got for the price I paid.

Even though they took a little over a month to manufacture, they were worth the wait in my opinion.

They seem to mesh perfectly with my Ground Control system and currently I have them turned to 12 clicks stiffer. I might go 1 more turn stiffer this week..

Here is the group purchase:

After searching for the past several weeks for possible rear shock options for our little beauties, I've decided to go with the adjustable GAZ shocks from the UK. I tracked down a contact there and found out the following information:

-Each set of shocks is 110 British Pounds (55 each) - which is their wholesale price, at today's exchange rate (1.68/$ - rounded to 1.70/$), that's about $187 plus the cost of shipping. Obviously I don't control the exchange rate so this could of course change.

-If we order 5 pairs we can get the price down to 100 British Pounds (50 each), so about $170 for the pair. If we get more than 10 I will ask if an additional discount is available but I think 5 orders is very achievable....

I'm not doing this to make a single cent, I simply want to get my cost down as low as possible and help other Insight owners upgrade their cars. OEM rear shocks from G1parts are $170 each, this option is more affordable and for a far superior product in my opinion....

Rear Springs:

or sale brand new rear coil springs for G1's.

I sent out a sample Daewoo Matiz rear spring and had them copied, 50 pair. They are brand new, powder coated black, made in California.

I have installed them in my latest acquisition (red G1) and they preform as expected, increased ride height of about an inch, virtually no bottoming out.

$90.00 picked up in Southern California.
$100.00 shipped anywhere in the continental US.

Have had my G1 for almost 4 months now and loving it. My girl has been driving it every day on her 120 mile round trip commute every day. The only thing that has been an issue it the ride. I spoke to Scott a few times and he said he could fix it, and was working on getting a bunch of new springs made and would let me know when they came in.

He hit me up the other day and told me that he got his shipment and had my set ready. Headed over to see him today and got them installed. What a difference! The ride home was soo much better. Didn't bottom out once on the freeway and made the drive much more comfortable. Dropped it off at my girls place and got this text a few minutes ago.

"Omg!! The car is so much better!!! Thank you! And thank you Scott!!!!!
