How to limit hub motor acceleration with phase current limit?

I got a Lyen 9 FET controller for a hub motor build. One of my requirements was that I should limit the acceleration/ramp up speed of the motor so I'm not pushing my motor too hard on acceleration. My riding style is that I like to cruise at 20mph (up to 25mph if I have a tailwind) and pedal to help accelerate, usually keeping my current to <15 amps. Before purchasing, I asked Edward Lyen if I could limit acceleration/ramp up, and he said I am able to change that in the software. I downloaded his software, screenshot below

and there is not an explicit option to change acceleration. I looked around, and someone on another thread or forum suggested limiting motor phase current to limit acceleration. Is that how you would do this? What limit would I set?
