I have owned a few 48v 500watt ebikes I don't like riding them because they are so slow so I keep going back to my 50cc scooter that has a top speed of 60km.

The electric bikes have alot more torque then tthe little 50cc 4 stroke scooter.

I would like to know how I can make a 48 volt scooter go faster I got passed a few days a go by a guy on a electric scooter I would say he was doing between 70-80km I had the same electric bike a few years ago I know it dose not go that fast stock.

Depends on what's already there, and what it's capable of. If you already have a vehicle you want to upgrade, poke around the forum to see if anyone's already done it for that one, and it could save you some time. Even if yours is not the same kind, you can look around at all the scooter (or whichever vehicle yours is) builds/upgrades that are similar to yours, and their solution may well be the same as what you need.

Otherwise, you'll need to post exactly what you have already, in detail, for us to help you figure it out. You'll also need to specify what "faster" means to you for the specific vehicle you want to use, and it will help if you also specify your terrain/riding style/weight of you and of vehicle, etc. We may need pictures of various things at some point.

The short answer is to increase the voltage, although as AW pointed out - that could end up being more complex - requiring new batteries, controller, and wiring.

Give us the details of your system, and anything is possible.

Safe travels, KF
