Hi,

Looking to get a hub motor that will fit 120mm rear dropout.
I read in this thread that it can be done by removing a spacer screw:

I would like to do the same but on a different motor.
500W M128 Rear Brushless Hub Motor for EBike

Model: QQ-M128R

This image looks like the same spacer:

Anyone have this motor and can see if the spacer is removable?

Thanks, any help greatly appreciated.

Bafang Makes one that is 120mm.

It is NOT Powerful... 220 Watts, but looks like it could accommodate at least a few gears.

I'm looking to do the opposite, add 2 5mm spacers to fit a rear road bike drop out.

I ride a 350 Watt Mac on one bike, and I sometimes push it to 1000 watts for maybe up to a minute, mostly ride at 350 Watts... has over 3,000 miles on it and works well. But it's a front motor.

I find it "odd" that no one is offering a 130mm solution when there are literally MILLIONS of bikes out there with that spacing. And I'm tired of hearing the just bend your frame BS (So don't even bother to comment if you read this). I ride for fun, I don't need to go 30mph. I don't even need that much power at all... 350 Watts is sufficient for what I do.

I've looked at the Mid Drive motors and they are clunky to me... except the Shimano Steps and SRAM... which are again low power. I don't want a Motor Cycle I just want a bike with Assist. I don't know how to buy a Shimano Steps or SRAM, because apparently they only want to deal with OEMS... probably much easier for warranty issues. I considered the Bafang BBS02, until I saw how it is installed. Just forcing a Plate to gouge into your Bottom Bracket, may work, but it's very poor engineering in my view. But if you have a low end bike and just want to go fast, then who cares right?

Anyways I also have no idea how to contact Bafang Directly... their website has a Captcha from Hell.
