like to see them get up a 20 % grade in that thing. They claim 60 MPH speed is possible, which is not going to happen unless you have the gold medal olympic rowing team on a slight downhill.

It is a fun looking experiment nonetheless. I wish they would just cool it on the ridiculous claims.

Hi Andys
I couldn't figure out from the bafflegab how they translate the human effort into electrons, but I'll guess that the humans are de-coupled from the drive... That they could sit at a red light and "row" to store their energy for later.
Pretty sure too that the Shriners already have have something similar direct drive and w/out the assist... just not as elegant but easier if someone wants a smoke break...

Sweet. So much better than that "rowing" approach Humancar thingee... `Couse `round here it'd have to be a trike design (not as safe) otherwise with assist the coppers would be calling it a "car"... sigh
