So I tried to swap my 810 led with a M5 LCD display.. no dice... Put it back the way it was and it powers up. Pas sensor test red 5v yellow gnd blue signal that goes from 1v to around 4v when crank spins but motor won't run unless I push and hold the km button on the 810 led.... Tried replacing the display realized needed controller with 5 pin display bundle and no luck so put it all back controller and display cut off most of the connection to hard wire non matching colored wires... So could have switched around a wire or read PCB wrong in idk 2 weeks down so far help and thanks for any help you can give

There are two different types of 810LED's. I have both, but they use the non waterproof connectors.

The first is the analog 810LED's with 4 wires.
Red = battery
Blue - Start Controller Goes to battery voltage when LED810 is on,
Green = signal 1 -3 volts for PAS 1,2,3 and 4V for walk
Black = Ground

The second is a 5 wire digital It can be replaced with LCD's that have similar firmware.
Red - battery
Blue - Controller start. Goes to battery voltage when LED810 is on,
Black - ground
Yellow = receive Data like speed and battery level
Green = Send commands lke PAS/walk

Not a good idea to start hacking off wires and connectors. You get lost and might never get back, Or if you connect the blue wire, which is battery voltage, to a low voltage one like the green on the four pin, or the yellow/green on the five pin, they will blow up,

If you have the water proof connectors, round 5 pin jobs, Again, never seen one, but they have the same 5 qires for the digital model and should look like this.

Thank you thank you...... First person who defined the wire bundle for display with the details like the green was always just signal.... Wasn't to sure what that was....I forgot to mention this is my girls bike so I'm out of the dog house.... Thank you again....

Can I give a thumbs up or something to show others that you were a great help very knowledgeable...... Thank you again

This kind of nonsense is why I've been transitioning my personal bikes over to simplified systems without a display. If your controller defaults to level zero when powered on, that probably wouldn't work for you without swapping to a different controller. But for me, there's nothing a display does that's worth a show stopping failure that comes from the display.

Also, you bought a Hyper brand bike? Are you not familiar with them? Even at the community bike shop where I work, where we fix up and donate whatever kind of functional junk we can use to help those in need, Hyper bikes go straight to recycling. Nobody needs that. Any time we could spend trying to make them right would be wasted.

For the 380$ paid it has been very dependable and no problems. I truly like having PAS only plus I can legally ride everywhere a bicycle can. The only reason I was even messing with it was my girlfriend wanted more speed so I figured a new display LCD we could squeeze a couple more mph out of it so this is really all my fault. I'm sure there are people like yourself just don't like them for your own reasons and I respect that....I guess we just got lucky with this one.... One in a million... Lol thanks for the info.... Ride safe and enjoy
