I have this battery.

Is it possible for someone that has ZERO knowledge in electronics to take the cells out and rearrange them into a more slimming configuration? I recently purchased this and its never even had the wires hooked up, I know, I know I should have bought the right battery from the start however this battery did fit the bill until I changed my mind. It was initially supposed to go on a rear rack but now I want it to fit into the triangle. Worse case scenario is selling it and going with something from EM3EV.

Is there a step by step pictorial floating around somewhere? lol.

What are my chances to make this work?

Thanks,
Dan L.

Even for a pro, it will be difficult to re arrange that pack. Likely near impossible to make it cram into the triangle without going down to cell level, and then re doing all the spot welding.

Sell it off. Or change your plan.

since you cannot sell batteries here anyway, and you are gonna have to take the pack apart eventually anyway from our experiences with these packs, no reason you should not start learning now.

do you even know how a voltmeter works? do you regularly repair things or can you solder wires safely?

do you live in fear of the label that says "no user serviceable parts inside"? do you worry that you will lose your warranty if you do anything that is not preapproved by the guy you bot it from?

Or adapt, improvise and overcome. That's what I meant by change your plan.

It is often possible to split a pack like that in half fairly easy. Half in the triangle half in the back? Two panniers?

I was just thinking a lot of re arranging of the cells would be needed to make it fit in a triangle, and assumed his skill level was beginner.

I know you can do it, but can he?

And uh, I know of no rule against selling a battery on this forum. Shipping it legal, that's different.
