Is there any advantage to using a LifePO4 over Lithium Polymer besides the fact that it sucks when Lithium Polymers explode?

Yes, more stable discharge curve ( Li-po has a steady voltage decline as they discharge, liFe does not sag voltage until the very end in comparison)

more cycle life ( lipo- usually rated at 500 cycles or so.. Life- 1000 + up to 3000 for some.. not that you would realistically ever manage that many cycles within 5 to 10 years lol )

They are heavier per wh than lipo, that is a negative, but compared to lead.. there is no comparison.

Sweet, good info. Thanks much.

Not to mention the advantage of getting your greedy little hands on it, getting hard with lifepo4, and motors.
