i need help fixing my battery

i bought a battery from Vpower (24v 20amp).......the battery never seems to heat up or the BMS.....even when i keep it on the charger for 24 hrs....right after taking the battery off the charger i get a reading of 30v and from that point on i lose voltage without even using it...it will go back down to under 25 volts in a day or two......
even when i use the battery righth off the charger i can only get a few miles on the charge

you guys seem smart maybe you can help me fix it

ok im not going to get a refund so i need to figure out whats wrong with the pack i have now.....i cant find out whats draining it when it sits for awhile..can someone walk me through the steps of checking it to dismantaling the pack and finding the problem

Take the pack apart and sell any good cells to the other guys that are having problems. Accept the loss and move on.

If the pack is self discharging, and the BMS never activates, then there is an extremely good chance that you have shorted cells. You need to tear the pack apart and measure the voltage of the cells between the balance wires. You will spot the dead ones easily that way, especially if they have been sitting for a while.
