Infineon 6FET EB777 25A Review

My controller is configured to work at 36 and 48v.
I use it on 48v but the ebrake is very light,
it's possible to increase it?

P20 and P21 Are the speed settings. Connect P20 to ground for Speed setting one or P21to ground for speed setting 2 or neither for controller default speed.

Thank you Kiwi for your answer, do I understand right that I could connect a 3-way swith to P20-P21-ground? Problem is I do not know the speed settings of the controller. On my controller P21 was soldered to ground, after I removed the solder joint I did not notice any difference.

Ronald.

PS.

I connected a 3-way switch today to P20, P21 and ground. And it indeed functions as a speed selector.

Speed 1: P20 connected to ground 23,0 km/h
Speed 2: P20 open, P21 open 30,4 km/h
Speed 3: P21 connected to ground 38,0 km/h

Speeds are measured without resistance (tilted frontwheel) with a FH NC205 250W 26", so the speeds are just an indication and not real speeds.

I tried the speed 2 setting (see above) for some days, but I rather prefer the speed setting 3 together with a thumbthrottle for speed regulation. It must have to do with how speed 2 is tempered (PWM, Current ?), there are lots of resonances in my motor (NC 205) and fork at start (from 0 km/h - 15 km/h), with the speed 3 setting there are much less resonances not only from the start but also at middle and top speeds, the NC 205 runs much smoother.

Help.

I am trying to program this controller, but with Kewin parameter designer, it wont transmit.
Fine on my other infineon controllers.

Frustrating.

can anyone help, should I be using a different software?

Kiwi, I would double-check the connection & wiring since you have proven the port & software work elsewhere :)

Best, KF

I have read around the forums regarding this controller. The final word is that it can not be reprogrammed. Same with any of the EB7 controllers.
Disappointing.

A little past the topic:
Do you think that can i replace mine EB777 with this controller
http://www.bmsbattery.com/controller/415-hall-sensorsensorless-250watts-brushless-hub-motor-controller.html
( There you find KU65 Controller Diagram.pdf)

And why i am doing this. I whant more power levels (not speed levels). Like this:

And only power control what i have found for EB777 is shunt modification. And it is permanent mod.

This is mine bike and kit today:
